McGraw-Hill Higher Education, a division of The McGraw-Hill Companies Inc. (MHP) and Blackboard Inc. (BBBB), a worldwide leader in enterprise technology and innovative solutions, have joined hands to offer students and faculty a single destination for online courses, content and learning tools. The alliance will use McGraw-Hill's Connect and Create and Blackboard Learn's Release 9.1 to form the platform.

The platform will significantly improve faculty and students' workflows through a single account. Users will be able to smoothly navigate McGraw-Hill learning resources that come under the purview of the Blackboard Learn Platform. The platform will also feature automatic grade synchronization, which will automatically record all McGraw-Hill assignment scores in the Blackboard gradebook.

The platform will facilitate instructors with easy access to content and tools as well as students' performance from McGraw-Hill's learning resources, including eTexts, video and interactive exercises. Moreover, preparing assignments will also be made easy through online access.

The McGraw-Hill Education segment is one of the leading global educational publishers. The segment includes two operating groups: the School Education Group (SEG) serving the elementary and high school (elhi) markets; and the Higher Education, Professional and International (HPI) Group serving college, professional, international, and adult education markets. The segment publishes textbooks for schools, colleges, and professional purposes worldwide.

Prior to this, McGraw-Hill Professional, a division of McGraw-Hill Companies announced its coalition with Simbionix,which provides medicinal edification and simulation technology to medical professionals.

The coalition will helpassimilate visual and scientific teaching materials from AccessSurgery, McGraw-Hill Professional's online surgical training source, into Simbionix's MentorLearn. This will improve simulation-based learning and shore up surgical novelty and practice.

The alliance will also enhance McGraw-Hill Professional's current erudition tools for surgical residents and medical scholars.At the same time, Simbionix will be evolving as the comprehensive education solution provider in medical field.

Currently, we have a long-term Neutral rating on McGraw-Hill, which competes withPearson plc(PSO - Snapshot Report). Moreover, the company holds a Zacks #3 Rank, which translates into a short-term Hold rating.
