Europe: Mission Accomplished?

Yes, the headline of this article is a bit of satire about when George W. Bush was standing on the aircraft carrier claiming "Mission Accomplished" in Iraq. That was a bit premature wasn't it? ;-)

Certainly progress has been made to try and contain the European debt crisis. The ECB is loaning out a ton of money for peanuts. There are several different "acromyn" programs with billions stored up to stave off any disaster. Then there is the concept that "time heals all wounds".

Add it all up and the major European stock markets are at the highest levels in several months. And key bond rates in Italy and Spain are moving back from the abyss. And the US markets have been rallying too.

Is this proof that all is well now?

If not, then what proof is needed to satisfy world investors?
