Hi, The spanish bailout is a prime example of trying to forecast the market based on the news. Most of the time the market is going to do what it is going to do and then find a reason why later.

Earlier in the month theSpanish problem was ostensibly causing the market weakness in the US. Well a bailout was announced and after a brief flutter the market shrugged it off and resumed doing what it wanted to do anyway.

We have not outlawed The BLACK SWAN which can have a profound and long term effect but most of the time we have to figure out the mood of the herd and that will govern.
