Brain Resource Again Recognized As Leader in Brain Training
By Brian Marckx, CFA
SharpBrains, the leading independent research firm covering the emerging field of brain training and brain health, again recognized Brain Resource as one of the top five market leaders in brain health. Along with CogState, Emotiv, Lumos Labs and NeuroSky, SharpBrains (www.sharpbrains.com) named Brain Resource as a pioneer and leader in brain health in its 211-page report entitled Transforming Health with Digital Tools to Assess, Monitor and Enhance Cognition Across the Lifespan: The Digital Brain Health Market 2012-2020.
The report, which was released on Monday (12/4/12) and per SharpBrains took about one-year to prepare, also points to Brain Resource's MyBrainSolutions as one of the products that is helping to transform brain health and, ultimately, health overall. We cover Brain Resource (OTC Markets:(BRRZY) / (ASX:BRC.AX) with an Outperform rating and have a $3.50 price target on the ADRs. See here for our full 19 page report on the company.
The SharpBrains report also includes growth estimates of the brain health market, noting that the digital brain health marketplace has already experienced rapid growth since 2005 and this rate is expected to continue for at least the next 8 years. SharpBrains estimates that this market was worth about $1 billion in 2012, up from just $210 million in 2005. By the year 2020 they peg this market to grow to as much as $6 billion (25% CAGR from 2005), driven in part by brain health solutions becoming mainstream, not only with healthcare providers but also among individual consumers.
