Rogers Communication Inc. (RCI - Analyst Report), one of the leading telecom carriers of Canada has expanded the reach of its innovative home security solution Smart Home Monitoring in Ontario’s Golden Horseshoe area. The service is now available in sixteen different markets of Golden Horseshoe including Oakville, Lincoln, Burlington and Hamilton.

Notably, Rogers Smart Home Monitoring is a security system that allows customers to stay connected with their home all the time. The security solution allows customers to easily control their lights, cameras or even thermostats to adjust room temperature and can remotely be used by a smartphone or tablet.

Home security solution is immensely helpful to fast changing human life. Some of the unique features of the Smart Home Monitoring System are that it allows customers to identify a leak in the water tank or getting mail alerts via their smartphone applications when their kids arrive home, thus allowing them to stay connected to their homes and families.

Smart Home Monitoring is an Internet Protocol (IP)-based solution, which comes with a touchpad, comprising home automation and multimedia applications. Rogers provides application for this service that runs on Apple Inc.’s (AAPL - Analyst Report) iOS, Google Inc.’s (GOOG - Analyst Report) Android and Research In Motion’s (BBRY - Analyst Report) BB 10 operating platform.

We believe offering the service in Golden Horseshoe area will enhance the popularity of Rogers Smart Home Monitoring solution as it will now cater to a wider population of Canada.
