Recently in Mar, 2013 Waters Corporation ( WAT - Analyst Report ) unleashed a bunch of new and innovative products and technologies at the Pittsburgh Conference on Analytical Chemistry and Applied Spectroscopy (Pittcon).

The important products unveiled were Waters ACQUITY Advanced Polymer Chromatography (APC) System, Paradigm Scientific Search Software, Quality Control Reference Materials (QCRMs) and the updated Alliance HPLC Designs.

This time the focus was on the Waters ACQUITY, developed in collaboration with The Dow Chemical Company ( DOW - Analyst Report ) . It is an Advanced Polymer Chromatography (APC) System, which will produce improved and faster molecular weight information about polymeric species.

The Paradigm Scientific Search is a data mining software that will help scientists, engineers and managers of a science based organization to procure information across enterprise-wide data storage with a much faster and easier access.

Waters also launched Quality Control Reference Materials (QCRMs) and Certified Containers. QCMRs will assist in the understanding of chromatography or MS system's health while securing repeatable performances at the same time. On the other hand, Certified Containers for solvents and mobile phases are specifically designed to prevent extraneous peaks and baseline noise.

Additionally, a few other products were also introduced into Water’s portfolio. Such as, the Empower 3 Chromatography Data Software and the Waters Prep 150 LC System.

Waters and Dani Instruments also entered into a partnership for using Waters Corporation’s Empower Chromatography Data Software for controlling DANI’s Headspace and Gas Chromatography instruments.
