It currently conducts business activities in three business segments:
Electricity segment: Under this segment, the company develops and operates geothermal, solar PV and recovered energy-based power plants in the Unites States and geothermal power plants in other countries around the world and sells the electricity it generates. The company additionally provides energy storage, demand response and energy management-related services through the Viridity business. The segment's revenues in 2023 amounted to $668.8 million, thereby contributing 80.6% to the company’s total revenues.
Product segment: Under this segment, the company manufactures and sells equipment for geothermal and recovered energy-based electricity generation. This segment additionally provides services related to the engineering, procurement and construction of geothermal and recovered energy-based power plants. The segment's revenues in 2023 amounted to $133.8 million, thereby contributing 16.1% to the company’s total revenues.
Energy Storage Segment: Under this segment, the company owns and operates grid-connected In Front of the Meter (IFM) BESS facilities, which provide capacity, energy and ancillary services directly to the electric grid. The segment's revenues amounted to $28.9 million in 2023, thereby contributing 3.5% to the company’s total revenues.
