Fund Description

Dreyfus Bond Market Index Fund - BASIC Shares was incepted in November 1993 and is managed by Dreyfus corporation. The objective of the fund is to seek the total return of the Lehman Brothers Aggregate Bond Index. Total return includes price movements as well as interest income. The fund invests at least 80% of its assets in securities that are included in the index. To maintain liquidity, the fund invest 20% of its assets in various short-term, fixed-income securities and money market instruments. The fund offers dividends monthly and capital gains are offered annually.
