Huron Consulting Group (HURN) will support Sea Island Habitat for Humanity, a non-profit housing organization that builds homes and communities, in construction work at the Johns Island and James Island in South Carolina.
Huron has expertise in serving community service projects. In May 2013, Huron employees participated in nearly 50 community service events with 40 different organizations globally. Sea Island Habitat for Humanity provides construction, rehabilitation and other facilities to help families have a better shelter.
Thirty of Huron employees will be engaged in the weeklong build on Johns Island and James Island, S.C. and will be primarily engaged to provide community services to the Sea Island Habitat. This is the organization’s second build in cooperation with Huron and is part of ‘The Huron Helping Hands’ program that aims to reach out to people and share time, experiences and resources, and support local community organizations globally. Huron’s employees participating in this initiative will be provided with travel arrangements and other facilities.
Huron is focused on strategy, finance and technology services and helps clients in diverse industries to improve performance, reduce costs, leverage technology, process, review complex data and address regulatory changes. In the latest reported quarter, revenues of the company increased 17.8% year over year to $170.4 million.
