Live Nation (LYV) Reports Q3 Loss, Misses Revenue Estimates

Live Nation (LYV - Free Report) came out with a quarterly loss of $2.45 per share versus the Zacks Consensus Estimate of a loss of $2.12. This compares to earnings of $0.71 per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for non-recurring items.

This quarterly report represents an earnings surprise of -15.57%. A quarter ago, it was expected that this ticket seller and concert promoter would post a loss of $2.10 per share when it actually produced a loss of $2.67, delivering a surprise of -27.14%.

Over the last four quarters, the company has not been able to surpass consensus EPS estimates.

Live Nation, which belongs to the Zacks Leisure and Recreation Services industry, posted revenues of $184.02 million for the quarter ended September 2020, missing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 16.63%.
