In collaboration with Hegg Companies, leading global hotel chain, Hyatt Hotels Corporation (H - Free Report) recently unveiled a property under the Hyatt Place brand in Lincoln, Neb. Christened Hyatt Place Lincoln/Downtown-Haymarket, the new hotel is the second Hyatt Place-branded property in the state.

Lincoln, the capital of Nebraska, is a fast growing city boasting a university, popular restaurants and entertainment venues. Strategically positioned on Q Street at West Haymarket, the hotel is near to Pinnacle Bank Arena and the Railyard Entertainment Center. We expect the strategic position, wide range of amenities offered at the 111-room hotel and contemporary ambience to create a strong guest base, going ahead.

Hyatt set a trend in hotel designs with the Hyatt Place brand, which spread its operations globally with 180 hotels since its launch in Jun 2006. In its 8-year long journey, the upscale, select-service, contemporary lifestyle hotel brand designed for modern travelers has gained immensely from its affordable pricing and guest satisfaction scores, reflecting the brand’s strength and growing popularity.

The company continues to expand the brand’s presence in the domestic market. Other Hyatt Place properties were recently opened in Puerto Rico, Costa Rica and India. In Jan 2014, the company opened a Hyatt Place branded hotel in Houston, Texas.

Several other hoteliers including InterContinental Hotels Group plc and Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. have also introduced similar contemporary lifestyle brand concepts like Hyatt Place. These brands are Hotel Indigo and Aloft by InterContinental Hotels and Starwood, respectively.

Hyatt currently has a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold). A better-ranked stock in the hotel industry is Marriott International, Inc. (MAR - Free Report) with a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy).
