Exxon Mobil (XOM) Beats Q4 Earnings Estimates

Exxon Mobil (XOM - Free Report) came out with quarterly earnings of $0.03 per share, beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $0.01 per share. This compares to earnings of $0.41 per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for non-recurring items.

This quarterly report represents an earnings surprise of 200%. A quarter ago, it was expected that this oil and natural gas company would post a loss of $0.28 per share when it actually produced a loss of $0.18, delivering a surprise of 35.71%.

Over the last four quarters, the company has surpassed consensus EPS estimates three times.

Exxon, which belongs to the Zacks Oil and Gas - Integrated - International industry, posted revenues of $46.54 billion for the quarter ended December 2020, missing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 4.22%.
