Boeing ended third quarter of 2018 on an impressive note, with both its top and bottom lines comfortably surpassing the respective Zacks Consensus Estimates. The company’s share price outperformed the industry's rally over the last year, with Boeing being the largest aircraft manufacturer in the world in terms of revenues, orders and deliveries. The company’s 20-year market outlook forecasts commercial jetliner demand to increase by 4.1%, with single-aisle jets being the major driver behind this demand growth. However, this aerospace giant continues to face challenges from stiff competition. For the company’s 747 model, weak demand for large commercial passenger and freighter aircraft accompanied with slower-than-expected growth of global freight traffic continue to create market uncertainties. Engine-related issues pertaining to its 787 fleet may hurt the company's growth.
