PPG Industries Inc. (PPG - Free Report) will unveil the new “Soulitude” color collection from its PPG PAINTS brand on Jun 13 during NeoCon 2016. Also, acclaimed interior designer, Vicente Wolf will discuss development of the collaborative color collection with designers and architects present there. The collection includes a variety of shades like 63 whites, off-whites and tinted whites, a range of neutrals, and a wide set of muffled accent colors.
Wolf will also sign complimentary copies of his new book, “The Four Elements of Design”. The book was released in April and features interior design themes. It depicts Wolf’s belief that the four classical elements – earth, wind, air and fire, form the building blocks of interior design. The color selection for Soulitude was also inspired by the book.
PPG Industries has worked with Wolf to organize the Soulitude fan deck into three categories – whites, neutrals and accents − to provide its customers, professionals and consumers, specific colors that create a feeling of solitude in their unique spaces. Wolf, who is known for his eye for detail and creativity, has international partnerships with some of the world’s top luxury brands. He heads two companies, W Home by Vicente Wolf and Vicente Wolf Associates, and is also an award-winning designer, international speaker, book publisher, lauded retailer and celebrated business partner.
Recently, the industrial coatings division of PPG Industries showed inspiration and creativity with the introduction of the Trendcast Styling Directions 2016 toolkit. This toolkit will enable design leaders in various sectors, including aerospace, automotive, interior design and consumer goods, to determine the colors, designs and texture favored by consumers for the next two years.
