Read MoreHide Full Article

Hertz Global Holdings, Inc. (HTZ - Free Report) announced the launch of its Hertz Green Collection, commonly known as Green Traveler Collection, in Mexico. The popularity and success of this eco-friendly option in other countries actually encouraged Hertz to extend its reach, with expectations of it being similarly welcomed in Mexico as well.

As part of this launch, Hertz added a fleet of 2016 Toyota Prius hybrid vehicles in Mexico, thus becoming the country’s foremost car-rental provider to bring in hybrid vehicles. The latest Toyota fleet is currently accessible at all Hertz Mexican City locations, flaunting a fresh, sleek look; greater comfort; solid technology-related features and a smooth drive.

The main idea behind the Hertz Green Traveler line is to offer customers affordable hybrid cars with greater fuel efficiency and clean, low-emissions technology. Likewise, for better performance and competence, the all-new Toyota Prius possesses an impressive fuel-saving technology, which easily switches between conservative engine power and electric power, on its own.

Further, in an attempt to improve air quality, this Green fleet is free from Mexico City’s driving limitations. This move represents Hertz Mexico’s focus on improving the environment and creating a better world.

Apart from this, Hertz Mexico also showcases the Prestige Collection and the Adrenaline Collection. While the Prestige Collection includes rich, comfortable models for extra stylish customers, the Adrenaline Collection comprises robust sport cars for adventurous drivers.  We believe that the addition of the Hertz Green Collection to Mexico will benefit the city by adding eco-friendly value, and also aid Hertz, by attracting more customers.

Hertz, which currently carries a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold), recently concluded the much-awaited separation of its equipment rental business, which gave rise to two entities − Hertz Global Holdings Inc. and Herc Holdings Inc. Through this separation, the two companies will be able to concentrate on their respective core businesses, which will help boost shareholder value. Hence, this split actually forms part of Hertz’s goal of enhancing its key car rental operations.
