Delta Air Lines (DAL) Announces Business-Class Suite Flights

Delta Air Lines Inc. (DAL - Free Report) announced plans to launch a new business-class service – the first of its kind in the industry. The company will launch the Delta One suite in fall 2017. Each suite in the business class cabin will have a sliding door which ensures enhanced privacy for customers.

The new service will be available on Delta’s A350 flights. Notably, Delta will be the first airline in the U.S. to take order for the A350. The airplane is expected to operate on routes between Asia and U.S. Delta’s new business class suite is also expected to feature on its Boeing 777 fleet after it features on the A350.

The business class offering by Delta displays its dedication toward customer service enhancement and efforts to boost revenues through a renewed focus on business class passengers.

Flight Features

Each flight will comprise 32 suites, each of which will have a full-height door. Center suites will have sliding privacy dividers. Additionally, the suite will come with customizable ambient lightings, storage compartment for shoes, headphones and laptops, memory enhanced comfort cushions, high resolution 18 inch in-flight entertainment monitor, a universal power outlet and a high-powered USB port under each seat. The new service also offers other privileges like meals prepared by chefs, wine pairings, noise cancelling headsets and luxury luggage maker TUMI’s amenity kits containing skincare products from Kiehl's Since 1851.
