Comparable-store sales (comps) increased 1.2% on a constant currency basis with comps growth recorded in both Dollar Tree and Family Dollar banners.

Outlook: Management forecasts net sales for fiscal 2017 in the band of $21.94–$22.33 billion, while first quarter sales are projected in the band of $5.26–$5.35 billion. Comps for both periods are expected to grow in the low single-digit range. Earnings per share are expected to be in the range $4.20–$4.56 for fiscal 2017. The company expects earnings for the first quarter to lie in the range of 91– 98 cents.
