Our Take

Amazon’s growing offerings in the original program series is expected to help the company in diversifying its online content and making a mark for among other streaming content providers.

We believe that these initiatives will be incrementally beneficial to the company, helping it to add new Prime subscribers and retain the older ones in the U.S. as well as in the international market, going forward.

Moreover, these will help the company withstand stiff competition from other service providers such as Netflix, Inc. (NFLX - Free Report) , HBO, Hulu and Comcast, among others.
