Hawaiian Holdings Arm to Fly Sacramento-Kahului From 2019

Hawaiian Holdings, Inc.’s (HA - Free Report) subsidiary Hawaiian Airlines has announced a daily non-stop service between Sacramento, CA and Kahului, Maui. Flights between Kahului and Sacramento will begin Apr 1, 2019 while the same between Sacramento and Kahului will start the next day. Tickets are currently on sale with special introductory one-way fares.

Hawaiian Airlines will operate the Sacramento-Kahului service on the supreme mid-range A321neo aircraft. The aircraft is furnished with luxury seats and other in-flight entertainment facilities.

We remind investors that carrier began operations on the Sacramento-Honolulu route in June 2002. It currently operates flights (using Airbus A321neos) connecting Portland with Honolulu and Kahului, San Diego with Kahului as well as Long Beach with Honolulu.

In another expansion initiative, last week, the carrier announced its intention to operate more flights on the Sapporo-Honolulu route in the Feb 1-16 time period, next year, to cater to the expected surge in demand during winter. The service will be expanded to up to five flights a week from the current thrice weekly.
