In order to augment its Fiber broadband services in regional emerging markets, Frontier Communications Corporation recently announced that it is bringing a new Gigabit service in its FiOS and Vantage Fiber markets. The company aims to offer its fastest residential broadband service, increasing new consumer broadband service to 200/200 megabits per second (Mbps) as well as add higher speeds in Indiana, Oregon and Washington with 300/300 Mbps.
Frontier Communications is trying to capitalize on business opportunities by understanding the market needs and potential. Notably, the company’s latest move entails triple- or double-play services and standalone broadband service. Its full, all-fiber FiOS network is available to nearly 1.4 million households in the Tampa Bay region in six counties along the central west coast of Florida. While the company’s FiOS is offered throughout major urban areas in Southern California, Dallas and Texas, Vantage Fiber is offered in parts of Connecticut, North Carolina and Minnesota.
The company continues to invest in its fiber network, expanding its availability to around 13,000 single family homes and businesses in 2017. Overall, its Florida service territory covers about 5,000 square miles.
Frontier Communications’ Gigabit service strengthens its Fiber broadband services by making it the most efficient broadband service in the market as it features the speed and reliability attributes consumers typically seek for download or upload of video content.
Moreover, it is introducing Wi-Fi EveryWare program to address some of the challenges that users encounter at homes regarding coverage and performance. Wi-Fi EveryWare comprises signal strength analysis to provide an ideal customer experience and offers better guidance for technical support for any Wi-Fi issues.
Frontier Communications continues to expand its Fiber-based broadband footprint to cater to the evolving needs of customers. Such cutting-edge service offerings will likely enhance the company’s top line, which recorded a compound annual growth rate of 17.7% from 2013 to 2017.
Over the past three months, the stock has gained 34.8% compared with 13.1% growth for the industry.
