General Motors (GM) Gains As Market Dips: What You Should Know

General Motors (GM - Free Report) closed at $38.27 in the latest trading session, marking a +0.76% move from the prior day. This move outpaced the S&P 500's daily loss of 0.01%. Elsewhere, the Dow lost 0.1%, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq added 0.12%.

Prior to today's trading, shares of the automaker had lost 2.84% over the past month. This has lagged the Auto-Tires-Trucks sector's loss of 2% and the S&P 500's gain of 2.24% in that time.
