General Motors’ third-quarter 2015 adjusted earnings per share increased year over year and surpassed the Zacks Consensus Estimate by a wide margin. However, revenues fell year over year, missing the Zacks Consensus Estimate. General Motors has adopted a comprehensive capital allocation strategy, which reflects its strong operating performance and robust financial position. The company is positioned to benefit from its investments in the U.S., directed toward strengthening its operations and new product launches and from new contacts which will help to expand business. General Motors is undertaking several initiatives to make its vehicles more advanced, safer and fuel efficient. The automaker has also outlined alternative transportation initiatives and is developing autonomous vehicles.
