Keeping its winning streak alive, Waters Corp. came up with solid fourth-quarter 2015 results on the back of robust operational performance across pharmaceutical end markets and a strong rebound in TA division sales. The company’s performance was strongest in Asia and the U.S., which both showed double-digit growth in the quarter. The company has been benefitting from the improving pharmaceutical industry, which is its largest single market and contributes significantly towards the total revenue. Yet, adverse currency translations continue to affect its overall sales significantly, and mounting debts and related servicing costs remain a major concern for the company. The company’s prospects in Japan also looks strained at the moment. Moreover, stiff competition from several instrument manufacturers will likely be major concerns for the company, going forward.
