Despite a tough retail environment, PVH Corp. emerged as a winner for the sixth consecutive quarter when its third-quarter fiscal 2015 earnings surpassed estimates and its own guidance. Results gained from strong performance of the company’s Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger brands. Further, seeing the strength of these top-notch brands continuing into the fourth quarter, the company recently revised its fiscal 2015 earnings view. However, the third quarter sales missed estimates and fell year over year owing to currency headwinds, which along with a volatile consumer environment is expected to impact results. Also, intense competition from peers may hurt results. Nonetheless, PVH Corp.'s solid financial status and its constant focus on brand building, asset management and global expansion bode well.
