Monster Worldwide, a web-based recruitment firm, posted fourth-quarter 2015 results wherein earnings beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate but revenues missed the same. The company also provided a tepid outlook for the first quarter owing to sluggish demand in the North America region.  The company’s business has been impacted by conservative hiring budgets and the ongoing transition in the employment market. Though Monster’s corporate restructuring initiative is expected to boost margins in the long run, the headwinds are likely to remain for the time being. Also, thecompany continues to face significant competition from professional and social networking websites as well as from traditional advertising companies.
