Apple has been seeing upward estimate revisions as it heads toward its September key note event where it is expected to launch iPhone 7. The company remains optimistic about growth in regions like India and a decent rebound in China. The launch of a new device will likely allow the company to benefit from the upgrade cycle even in mature markets, finally alleviating the ongoing trend of sluggish iPhone sales. A loyal cusomer base and a strong ecosystem are the other positives.  However, in the near term, macroeconomic headwinds in some key regions amid increasing competition remain a concern. Furthermore, the company will likely have to dish out over $14 billion in tax for its Ireland operations, which will significantly weigh on its financials.
