Western Union’s long-term growth momentum will be led by strategic investments in new products, services and technology. Focus on expansion of customer base, creation of digital infrastructure to drive its electronic channels business and development of the business-to-business segment will drive growth. Its wide agent network and huge international businesses are other positives. However, Western Union is exposed to increasing competition, foreign exchange volatility, compliance costs and increased investment spending. Global weakness continues to hurt money remittance, thereby limiting the company's top-line growth. Yet the money transferor delivered positive surprise in three of the last four quarters. While the Zacks Consensus Estimate for 2016 increased by a couple of cents, the same for 2017 decreased by a penny.
