Investors should know that the six refineries the company is operating are: Delaware City Refinery, Paulsboro Refinery, Toledo Refinery, Chalmette Refinery, Torrance Refinery and Martinez Refinery. Let’s discuss the major two refineries.
Delaware City Refinery: The refinery, which spreads across 5,000 acres of land, is connected to large pipeline networks along with networks of rail, trucks & tankers and cargoes – carried through water. Delaware City has upgraded and advanced refinery system that could process heavy oil, containing high amounts of sulphur. This makes it a leading refinery in the East Coast with a complex refinery system.
Paulsboro Refinery: Almost 30 miles away from the Delaware City refinery lies the Paulsboro unit, spreading across 950 acres in Paulsboro, NJ. Notably, in the East Coast, there are two refineries with coking capacity and Paulsboro refinery being one of them.
In PBF Logistics LP — a master limited partnership — the company has an ownership interest of 48%. Through the stake, PBF Energy operates oil and refined petroleum product pipelines, storage facilities and terminals.
PBF Energy conducts business through two reportable segments, namely, Refining and Logistics. Revenues at the Refining segment were $38,288.5 million in 2023, contributing a significant part to the company’s total revenues. The Logistics segment generated profit of $384.1 million, accounting a minimal part of the company's 2023 revenues.
