Hilltop Holdings Inc. (HTH - Free Report) reported second-quarter 2016 operating earnings per share of 32 cents, which missed the Zacks Consensus Estimate of 38 cents. Earnings were up 6.67% year over year led by higher non-interest income and a decline in total interest expense.
