Preferred Securities and Global: 2 ETFs to Watch on Outsized Volume

QQQ SPY DIA

In the last trading session, U.S. stocks were mostly in the red. Among the top ETFs, investors saw SPY losing about 0.5%, DIA shedding about 0.9% and QQQ move lower by 0.02% on the day. China trade-war fears probably have weighed on the market rally.

Two more specialized ETFs are also worth watching as both saw trading volume that was far outside of normal. In fact, both these funds experienced volume levels that were more than double their average for the most of the last trading session. This could make these ETFs ones to watch out for in the days ahead to see if this trend of extra-interest continues.

PGF: Volume 3.56 times average

This U.S. financial ETF was under the microscope yesterday as about 1.43 million shares changed hands. This compares to an average trading volume of around 400,000 shares and came as PGF gained about 0.5% in the session.

The movement can largely be credited to the recent rising rate concerns. Since the fund yields more than 5% annually, investors may have targeted this high-yielding fund to beat the rising rate risks. The fund gained about 2% in the last one month.

ACWV: Volume 3.02 times average

This minimum-volatility global ETF was in the spotlight yesterday as nearly 703,000 shares moved hands compared with an average of roughly 232,400 million shares a day. We also saw some price movement as ACWV retreated about 0.1% in the last session. The fund was up only 0.3% in the last one month.

Zacks Names "Single Best Pick to Double"

From thousands of stocks, 5 Zacks experts each have chosen their favorite to skyrocket +100% or more in months to come. From those 5, Director of Research Sheraz Mian hand-picks one to have the most explosive upside of all.

It’s a little-known chemical company that’s up 65% over last year, yet still dirt cheap. With unrelenting demand, soaring 2022 earnings estimates, and $1.5 billion for repurchasing shares, retail investors could jump in at any time.

This company could rival or surpass other recent Zacks’ Stocks Set to Double like Boston Beer Company which shot up +143.0% in little more than 9 months and NVIDIA which boomed +175.9% in one year.
