DowDuPont's Unit Releases Solution to Prevent Moisture Damage

APD GGB MOS

DowDuPont Inc. Specialty Products Division’s business unit, DuPont Safety & Construction recently released the DuPont Tyvek DrainVent Rainscreen solution to provide advanced protection against moisture damage in exterior wall systems. The solution creates a 6mm space for water drainage and air movement for drying behind cladding, as well as helps to prevent long-term damage to walls.

The Tyvek DrainVent could be installed behind stone veneer, stucco, wood, brick, metal panel systems and fiber cement. It extends the life of exterior cladding by creating a gap that helps to prevent cracking as well as peeling problems. The new product replaces the intervening layer required with stucco and stone, while the attached heavy-duty filter fabric fends off infiltration of mortar and stucco.

Moreover, it is easy to install and helps in protection against poor installation as well as detailing errors. The heavy-duty filter fabric, which has a high perm rating, keeps mortar out and helps to create a flat surface that allows the cladding to lay flat. Its three-dimensional honeycomb-textured design and durability provides uniform nonstructural support for the various claddings.

DowDuPont’s shares have lost 20.2% in the past three months compared with the industry’s decline of 17.5%.

During third-quarter 2018 earnings call, DowDuPont stated that it is seeing strong global demand for products on business investment, manufacturing output, job growth and wage increases. The company will continue to focus on driving the top line via above-GDP demand growth for products, new launches, as well as delivering productivity and cost synergy savings.

DowDuPont achieved cost synergy savings of more than $450 million in the third quarter. The company raised cost synergy commitment to $3.6 billion from $3.3 billion projected earlier. Moreover, it raised year-over-year savings view for 2018 to $1.5 billion from prior expectation of $1.4 billion.

Zacks Names "Single Best Pick to Double"

From thousands of stocks, 5 Zacks experts each have chosen their favorite to skyrocket +100% or more in months to come. From those 5, Director of Research Sheraz Mian hand-picks one to have the most explosive upside of all.

It’s a little-known chemical company that’s up 65% over last year, yet still dirt cheap. With unrelenting demand, soaring 2022 earnings estimates, and $1.5 billion for repurchasing shares, retail investors could jump in at any time.

This company could rival or surpass other recent Zacks’ Stocks Set to Double like Boston Beer Company which shot up +143.0% in little more than 9 months and NVIDIA which boomed +175.9% in one year.
