This index tracks the foreign exchange spot rate that measures the relative values of two currencies, the Japanese yen and the U.S. dollar. The yen is the national currency of Japan & the currency of the accounts of the Bank of Japan, and is the third-most-traded currency in the world. This index also includes the collateralized investment from U.S. T-Bill securities.
The U.S. dollar/Japanese yen exchange rate is a foreign exchange spot rate that measures the relative values of two currencies, the Japanese yen and the U.S. dollar. When the Japanese yen appreciates relative to the U.S. dollar, the U.S. dollar/Japanese yen exchange rate decreases, the JPY/USD exchange rate increases and the value of the Securities increases & vice versa.
