The index defines the small capitalization universe as approximately the bottom 10% of the eligible universe with a minimum free float capitalization of $150 million. As of June 30, 2009, the index was composed of 1,820 stocks in 23 developed market countries.
The Schwab International Small-Cap Equity ETF provides diversified exposure to international small-cap stocks in over 20 developed international markets. It seeks investment results that track the performance, before fees and expenses, of the FTSE Developed Small Cap ex-US Liquid Index.
