The index measures the performance of the consumer goods sector of the U.S. equity market. The Dow Jones U.S. Consumer Goods Index is a subset of the Dow Jones U.S. Total Market Index. The Index is capitalization-weighted and includes only companies in the consumer goods industry of the Dow Jones U.S. Total Market Index.
