The index seeks to measure the performance of a short investment in Ultra T-Bond Futures. Ultra T-Bond Futures are futures contracts traded on the CBOT whose underlying assets are U.S. Treasury Bonds with a remaining term to maturity of not less than 25 years from the first day of the futures contract delivery month.
It provides investors with a cost-effective and convenient way to take a leveraged view on the performance of a U.S. Treasury bond futures index. The PowerShares DB Short U.S. Treasury Bond Futures Index which measure the performance of a short investment in the CBOT Ultra T-Bond futures.
