Fund Description

The fund, under normal circumstances, invests at least 80% of its net assets, plus borrowings for investment purposes, if any, in equity securities of medium capitalization companies or other investments with similar economic characteristics. Medium capitalization companies are those with market capitalizations similar to companies in the Russell Midcap Index; companies that later fall outside this definition after purchase are still treated as medium-cap for the 80% policy. The fund may invest up to 25% of net assets in foreign company securities and normally holds a relatively small number of stocks selected for long-term growth potential, primarily common stocks but also other equity securities.
