Earnings All Stars with the Hottest Charts

Read MoreHide Full Article

The earnings party isn’t over yet.

While most of the S&P 500 has reported, there are still hundreds of companies expected to report earnings this week, including many mid and small cap companies.

Also on tap are a few of the glamour names including a company that was one of the hottest stocks on the Street in 2016 but has since cooled off.

Just because a company beats on the estimate nearly every quarter doesn’t mean that they will going forward. Additionally, beats don’t necessarily translate into a higher share price, as you’ll see in the video.

These companies all have great earnings track records. They are earnings all stars. Can they do it again this quarter?

Earnings All Stars with the Hottest Charts

1.    Disney (DIS - Free Report) has only missed twice in the last 5 years. Shares have struggled over the last year but appear to be on the rebound. Will this be the quarter we see a break out to new highs?

2.    Priceline was in a narrow trading range for several years until 2016. Now it is hitting new all-time highs heading into this week’s earnings report. It has one of the best earnings beats records this week, with no misses in the last 5 years. Is it priced for perfection?

3.    NVIDIA (NVDA - Free Report) was on fire in 2016 but the shares have cooled in 2017. It has only missed one time in the last 5 years. Can it regain its momentum?

4.    Electronic Arts (EA - Free Report) has put together a solid beat record with no misses in over 3 years. Many of its recent beats have also been large beats. Will it crush the Zacks Consensus again this quarter?

5.    Fossil (FOSL - Free Report) is an earnings all-star with just 1 miss in the last 5 years but its chart is actually going the wrong way: it’s going down. Fossil shares are hitting 5 year lows on worries about the retail industry. Is this a buying opportunity in the watch and accessory maker?
