Great investing opportunities exist everywhere in the stock market. But how do you find them?
Tracey Ryniec, Stock Strategist at Zacks Investment Research, discusses two hidden gems that might be worth a closer look at by investors: Camtek (CAMT - Free Report) and Patrick Industries (PATK - Free Report) .
Hidden gems are stocks that are followed only by a handful of Wall Street analysts and which the rest of the stock market doesn’t pay much attention to but they should because their fundamentals are strong.
Camtek is a small-cap Israeli company that provides automated solutions to the semiconductor industry. The semiconductors are among the hottest industries in 2017, and Camtek has joined in as its stock is at 5-year highs.
It had record results in the first quarter as revenue rose 26%. Earnings are expected to jump 111% in 2017. It’s a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy).
Patrick Industries makes products for the RV and manufactured housing industries, including decorative vinyl panels, granite and quartz counter tops, cabinet doors, fiberglass bath fixtures and interior passage doors.
The RV industry is expected to see record sales this year. With the RV segment 76% of total company sales, it’s not surprising that first quarter sales were up 24%.
Earnings are expected to rise 14% in 2014. Patrick is a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy).
But what else should investors take away from these two companies? Watch our short video below to learn more about these hidden gems.
