Delphi Automotive PLC reported that it is partnering with BlackBerry Limited to provide operating system for the company’s self-driving system. Both companies are collaborating to strengthen operating systems software for the autonomous driving technology.

BlackBerry QNX will be offering a strong software infrastructure for Delphi’s fully-integrated self-driving solution — Centralized Sensing Localization and Planning (CSLP). Scheduled to launch in 2019, CSLP will offer Automated Mobility on Demand (AMoD), a turnkey automated driving solution to automakers.

BlackBerry’s software infrastructure will provide a safe and reliable software to auto manufacturers, enabling them to protect their vehicles from rising threats and cyber attacks.

Singapore Land Transport Authority has selected Delphi Automotive to provide a fleet of fully autonomous vehicles and develop a cloud-based mobility-on-demand software (AMoD) suite. Also, in June, the company had inked a collaboration deal with Transdev to develop self-driving public transportation services in Europe, expected to phase out in 2018.
