Today's Featured Research Reports

Shares of Shell have gained +38% over the year-to-date period against the Zacks Oil and Gas - Integrated - International industry’s gain of +41.1%. The company’s integrated gas business benefits from its LNG network and expansion plans, supporting diversified earnings growth. Refining strength and operational discipline reinforce resilience across market cycles.

Capital efficiency remains a strength, with returns on invested capital exceeding historical and industry benchmarks, reflecting portfolio optimization and selective reinvestment. Acquisitions and divestments improve resource longevity and portfolio quality. Robust cash flow and free cash flow conversion strengthen financial flexibility, funding dividends, buybacks, debt reduction and growth.

Disciplined spending and shareholder distributions support investor returns. Favorable valuation and upward earnings revisions add appeal despite commodity volatility. These strengths justify Shell's Outperform recommendation.

Dell’s shares have outperformed the Zacks Computer - Micro Computers industry over the year-to-date period (+179.3% vs. +29.8%). The company is benefiting from broad AI and data-center infrastructure demand as customers secure capacity and modernize systems. Its scale across AI servers, traditional compute, storage and commercial PCs supports share gains and expands the opportunity beyond GPU systems.

Higher Dell IP storage mix and operating leverage are lifting profitability, while a large noncancelable AI backlog and growing enterprise adoption improve longer-term visibility. An aging commercial PC installed base adds a refresh opportunity as budgets normalize.

Risks include tighter component supply, weak consumer PC demand, lower-margin AI server mix, intense competition, currency volatility and balance-sheet demands. Still, Dell’s execution, portfolio breadth, efficiency gains and expanding infrastructure opportunity support the Outperform view.

Shares of Amphenol have outperformed the Zacks Electronics - Connectors industry over the year-to-date period (+10.6% vs. +6.6%). The company is benefiting from expanding demand for high-speed, power and fiber interconnect products, led by AI-related IT datacom programs and supported by defense, commercial air and diversified industrial applications.

Record orders and positive book-to-bill reinforce demand visibility, while customer commitments help share capacity risk. CommScope is expanding Amphenol’s optical reach and delivering higher sales, margins and earnings accretion than expected. Broad interconnect capabilities, rising electronics content and acquisition execution strengthen its competitive position.

Operating leverage, cash generation and increased shareholder returns further support our Outperform view. Risks include communications-network weakness, evolving AI architectures, tax exposure and acquisition-related financing costs.

Versus Systems’ shares have underperformed the Zacks Internet - Software industry over the year-to-date period (-31.8% vs. -6.9%). This microcap company with a market capitalization of $5.21 million faces growing-concern and persistent
uncertainty, as operations still dependent on external funding. Limited customer diversification, heavy reliance on ASPIS, potential shareholder dilution and unproven software commercialization remain risks.

Sustainable profitability requires validation beyond related-party licensing revenues. The valuation suggests potential upside, but financial uncertainties and execution risks warrant caution. Broader customer adoption, recurring revenues and sustainable cash generation remain critical to a lasting revaluation.

Nevertheless, VS has strengthened its liquidity position through equity financing, regained Nasdaq compliance and reduced operating expenses and cash burn. The renewed ASPIS licensing agreement provides revenue visibility, while platform investments and the Drinkfinger partnership support commercialization opportunities.
