Biblically Responsible Investing

Biblically Responsible Investing (BRI) is an investment philosophy that integrates Christian faith with financial decision-making. Its core idea is to ensure that investments reflect biblical values, promoting moral integrity, stewardship, and respect for human dignity. BRI avoids companies involved in activities considered incompatible with biblical teachings, such as abortion, pornography, gambling, alcohol, tobacco, and, in some interpretations, LGBTQ+ advocacy or unethical labor practices. This approach goes beyond simply avoiding harmful sectors. BRI actively seeks to invest in businesses that demonstrate ethical behavior, care for creation, treat employees and customers fairly, and support charitable or community-focused initiatives. Stewardship is central to BRI, as investors view themselves as caretakers of God's resources. Rather than chasing quick profits, BRI encourages long-term value and meaningful impact aligned with faith. This screen, grounded in a faith-based perspective, identifies companies whose operations are biblically aligned to a significant extent, enabling Christians to align their investments with their beliefs while pursuing ethical and responsible returns.
