Facebook (FB) Outpaces Stock Market Gains: What You Should Know

Facebook closed at $268.11 in the latest trading session, marking a +0.38% move from the prior day. This move outpaced the S&P 500's daily gain of 0.08%. At the same time, the Dow added 0.38%, and the tech-heavy Nasdaq lost 0.29%.

Coming into today, shares of the social media company had lost 3.55% in the past month. In that same time, the Computer and Technology sector gained 7.44%, while the S&P 500 gained 3.8%.

Wall Street will be looking for positivity from FB as it approaches its next earnings report date. The company is expected to report EPS of $3.20, up 25% from the prior-year quarter.
