2 ETFs to Watch for Outsized Volume on Leveraged Nasdaq-100 & Bonds

In the last trading session, Wall Street delivered a mixed performance. Among the top ETFs, (SPY - Free Report) lost 0.2%, (DIA - Free Report) retreated about 0.6% while (QQQ - Free Report) moved 0.3% higher on the day.

Two more specialized ETFs are worth noting as both saw trading volume that was far outside of normal. In fact, both these funds experienced volume levels that were more than double their average for the most-recent trading session. This could make these ETFs the ones to watch out for in the days ahead to see if this trend of extra-interest continues.

(QLD - Free Report) : Volume 4.28 Times Average

This leveraged QQQ ETF was under the microscope as about 18.36 million shares moved hands. This compares with an average trading volume of roughly 4.29 million shares and came as QLD added more than 0.5% in the last trading session. QLD is down 5.9% in a month’s time.

(TMF - Free Report) : Volume 2.32 Times Average

This leveraged U.S. treasury ETF was in the spotlight as around 79.22 million shares moved hands compared with an average of 34 million shares a day. We also saw some price movement as TMF added 4.3% in the last session. TMF has slumped 30% over the past month.
