SAP Collaborates with Vivanda for FlavorPrint Technology

Read MoreHide Full Article

German software solutions corporation SAP SE (SAP - Free Report) recently collaborated with data-driven culinary management platform Vivanda to utilize the latter’s FlavorPrint technology for its customers.

SAP made an undisclosed investment in Vivanda to capitalize on the indigenous technology for enhanced consumer engagement and targeted personalized food and beverage recommendations as well as to gather additional insights through advanced Big Data analytics.

FlavorPrint technology is a food and flavor genome that maps 16,000 aroma chemicals, 33 flavors and 17 textures. It also offers dietary and nutrition attributes and a comprehensive library of ingredients, products and recipes based on proprietary access to culinary research, food and sensory science.

The collaboration is expected to be mutually beneficial for both the companies, providing personalized brand experiences through customer interactions in order to drive innovation and improve the products.

SAP has established dominance over three of the most critical client demand areas, namely, efficient customer engagement, human capital management and interconnected commerce network, which in turn, support its growth. In addition, SAP follows an open ecosystem strategy, which enables it to better leverage its innovation capacity by extending it to partners as well. This drives better customer value, based on respective domain expertise.

The SAP partner ecosystem is a collaborative, innovative and interactive network of partners, customers and individuals. Backed by the company’s extensive global relationships, customers have a wide range of providers and resources to choose from for software-related services and support. As the enterprises are inventing new business models and making a transition toward digital businesses processes, SAP is supporting its partners in such transition through continual co-innovations. Also, it established itself as a trusted partner for business enterprises who seek to transform the entire landscape of their operations including applications, cloud, business networks and platforms. Notably, stiff rivalry in contemporary markets calls for technological superiority over peers, and this, we believe, will keep up the demand momentum for efficient software tools. SAP, being the leader in the domain, remains well equipped to meet such demands.

SAP currently has a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold). Some better-ranked stocks in the industry include Aspen Technology, Inc. (AZPN - Free Report) , Callidus Software Inc. and DST Systems Inc. , each carrying a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy).
