Apple Inc (AAPL - Free Report) might launch its latest iPhone 7 and 7 Plus models in jet white color, reports Mac Otakara, citing supply chain sources. However, Mac Otakara didn’t mention the time frame of the launch.
At present, iPhone 7 and 7 Plus are available in jet black color along with a second black color, as well as gold, rose gold and silver finishes.
Analysts observe that Mac Otakara has been precise on numerous occasions about leaking Apple’s information but has also faltered many a times. As far as the jet white color iPhone 7 is considered, the publication itself has added that the information may not be reliable. There are very high chances of this rumor fizzling out soon.
iPhone is one of the primary growth drivers for the company. At its Sep 7 event, Apple announced new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. It does mark a significant improvement over iPhone 6 and paves the way for iPhone 8, which is rumored to be launched around the 10th anniversary of the first iPhone, i.e., next year.
Furthermore, the company is expected to gain from the upgrade cycle, especially in mature markets. To further push its advantage, the new iPhones were made available in more than 130 countries, representing the fastest rollout in the history of iPhones.
But the macroeconomic headwinds remain for now, especially in China, one of the biggest markets for Apple. Stiff competition is an added concern.
