The world’s largest managed WordPress provider, GoDaddy Inc. (GDDY - Free Report) has entered into partnerships with WP Elevation and OSTraining.com to offer web developers and designers free WordPress educational content.

Enhancing WordPress

The move appears to be a part of GoDaddy’s continuous efforts to invest in WordPress and attract more clients to its web design and development services.

Last year, the company acquired Serbia-based WordPress site management tool maker, ManageWP that offers web professionals multi-site WordPress management capacity from a single dashboard. It also offers site monitoring, automated migration, publishing, deployment, client reporting, backups and security services.

Shares of GoDaddy have outperformed the Zacks Internet - Delivery Services industry over the last six months. While the stock gained 14.4%, the industry lost 2.7%.

ManageWP‘s centralized dashboard was the main draw for GoDaddy. The acquisition enabled the company to provide a single destination for web professionals to manage their WordPress sites. Multi-site WordPress management has become a lot more hassle free as the new tool removes the need to log in to each site’s dashboard separately.

Clients get access to numerous websites globally and save more of their working time. GoDaddy has integrated ManageWP’s services with its GoDaddy Pro program.

Targeting Massive Growth

GoDaddy has been targeting massive growth of its core business and is trying to enter related fields. The company’s diversification push is evident from some of its previous acquisitions. It acquired Outright in 2012 to add bookkeeping services to its portfolio.

It later acquired Ronin to add invoicing to this service. Last year, it bought FreedomVoice to offer cloud-based telephony services to small and medium-sized companies.

Zacks Rank

At present, GoDaddy is a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) company. Better-ranked stocks in the broader technology sector include Applied Materials, Inc. (AMAT - Free Report) , Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. (AEIS - Free Report) and Texas Instruments Incorporated (TXN - Free Report) , each sporting a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy). You can see the complete list of today’s Zacks #1 Rank stocks here.
