In a bid to broaden its network, Allegiant Travel Company (ALGT - Free Report) is introducing nine new nonstop routes, aimed at offering budget-friendly trips to popular leisure destinations across Florida. Seven of these routes are hyper-seasonal, which are meant to target peak spring travel demand during key local travel periods, including spring breaks and other vacation windows.

Additionally, Allegiant is offering a new year-round route and a seasonal route for connecting to the Orlando area. The year-round route between Cincinnati, OH, via Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport and Orlando, FL, via Orlando International Airport (MCO) shall start on Feb. 12, 2027, with introductory one-way fares as low as $49.

The seasonal route, effective from Feb. 10, 2027 to April 17, 2027, will operate between Grand Forks, ND, via Grand Forks International Airport and Sanford, FL, via Orlando Sanford International Airport, with introductory one-way fares as low as $69.

Drew Wells, Allegiant's chief commercial officer, stated, "We're excited to announce these new routes into our growing network and will continue to look for opportunities to connect travelers with the destinations they want to visit most. These new routes reflect the flexibility of our unique business model, allowing us to respond to demand and provide more options during peak leisure periods."

ALGT is focused on expanding its network and strengthening its presence in the travel industry by offering budget-friendly nonstop services between cities. The inclusion of these new routes is expected to enhance this Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) stock position in the airline industry globally.

Route Expansion Plans of Another Airline Company

ALGT is not the sole U.S. airline to expand its international network. Recently, Delta Air Lines (DAL - Free Report) is strengthening its presence in Austin by launching its first-ever nonstop service between Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and Paris-Charles de Gaulle, starting March 27, 2027. The daily summer-season service will be operated on Airbus A330-900neo aircraft, giving Austin travelers direct access to Paris and one-stop connectivity to nearly 70 destinations across Europe, India and Africa through Delta’s joint venture with Air France-KLM.
