NetApp, Inc. (NTAP - Free Report) has been named an official partner of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, expanding its relationship with the National Football League (“NFL”). NetApp already serves as the NFL’s Official Intelligent Data Infrastructure Partner, helping the league and its teams securely access, manage and activate data. Through the new partnership, the Buccaneers will leverage NetApp technology to support the fan experience at Raymond James Stadium on game days as well as across the team’s digital platforms.

The partnership follows the Buccaneers’ first regular-season game of the 2026 season against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sept. 13. NetApp stated that its technology supports demanding workloads across the NFL, including the storage and availability of game-day video used by NFL and club football operations teams. The collaboration with the Buccaneers will further extend the company’s role in supporting data-intensive operations within professional football.

The Buccaneers will use NetApp Keystone, a flexible, subscription-based service designed to adapt to changing business requirements. The solution provides performance, intelligent data management and high availability for data workloads across data centers and cloud environments. NetApp’s platform also includes built-in data security capabilities designed to autonomously detect threats and enable rapid recovery. According to Buccaneers chief commercial officer Atul Khosla, reliable and secure access to data is an important part of the game-day experience, with NetApp expected to help deliver a more seamless and connected experience for fans.

The partnership comes as NetApp continues to expand its focus on AI, cloud and data infrastructure. On its first-quarter fiscal 2027 earnings call, the company highlighted that it had closed approximately 350 AI and data lake modernization deals during the quarter, with deal sizes increasing as customers move from proof-of-concept projects to production workloads. NetApp also highlighted its expanding relationships with customers across AI, cloud and data modernization.

Beyond the Buccaneers partnership, NetApp continues to deepen its relationships across technology and enterprise markets. During the fiscal first quarter, the company signed a significant agreement with Samsung Electronics to support its EDA environment and AI Center of Excellence. NetApp also secured strategic business with a public-sector organization involving its AFX platform and NVIDIA SuperPOD, while winning a significant engagement with an Asian neocloud provider to provide storage infrastructure for AI services.
