MercadoLibre, Inc. (MELI - Free Report) continued to build momentum in its advertising business during the second quarter of 2026. The company crossed an important milestone by capturing more than 10% of Latin America’s digital advertising market. Advertising net revenues climbed 62% year over year on an FX-neutral basis. MercadoLibre is also using artificial intelligence to make advertising easier and more effective for sellers. Its AI Advisor analyzes campaigns in real time through WhatsApp and provides automated recommendations on budgets and return on ad spend. The tool has expanded from small pilots to tens of thousands of sellers per month, with one in three engaged sellers making campaign changes directly through the conversation. The adoption of its AI-powered budget orchestrator rose 63% sequentially in the quarter.

AI is also improving ad relevance. Management said enhanced search technology provides better context for selecting advertisements, lifting click-through rates and revenues. The company additionally expanded video advertising inventory through an HBO Max integration, increasing its addressable video audience by roughly 50%.
