Planned to start in Spring 2027, the new nonstop service between Seattle/Everett and San Jose, CA, is scheduled to operate twice daily on Horizon Air. This route will connect Seattle Paine Field Airport and the north Puget Sound region with the South Bay and greater San Francisco Bay Area.
Flights to Los Angeles will be flown twice daily, with both flights operated on larger Alaska Boeing 737 aircraft. Portland will also enjoy two flights on a daily basis, which is expected to offer quick trips across the Pacific Northwest and beyond. For San Diego and San Francisco also, Alaska Airlines plans to reach out to popular West Coast destinations with additional seats.

Apart from Seattle expansion plans, Alaska Airlines recently announced its plans to expand its presence in Hawaii by introducing daily Boeing 737-800 service on select Honolulu-Kahului flights beginning Oct. 3, 2026. The supplemental service will include three Honolulu-Kahului round trips, adding passenger and cargo capacity while helping maintain the frequency and connectivity of Neighbor Island operations. The move is expected to support demand across Hawaii and strengthen the company’s position in the inter-island travel market.
